Southern Girls, stage play

All the Way West Productions, Inc presents the stage play “Southern Girls” opening Thursday January 22nd, 2009 at The Complex inside the Ruby Theater located at 6476 Santa Monica Blvd, Hollywood, CA 90038 starting at 8pm.

Southern Girls shadows the experience of six childhood friends from the 1950s to their middle ages set in a small town outside of Birmingham, Alabama. Biracial dreamer Wanda-Sue, teeters between the world of her white half-sister, Charlotte, her white friends, Dolly and June-Adele, and her black friends, sisters Ruth and Naomi. As children the girls play together but as the years pass by their world changes when each woman’s dreams are strongly influenced and affected by the turbulent times in which they live.

Southern Girls runs nightly each Thursday, Friday, Saturday evening with matinees on Sundays until March 1st, 2009. General admission is $20.00 for all performances.
